Grilled Salmon Salads

Brady and I love a good grilled Salmon Salad. I love salads that are just so full of delicious little treats. We usually grill the salmon with olive oil and salt and pepper. I usually use  mixed greens, avocado, homemade croutons, black olives, cucumbers, carrots, radishes, and sugared almonds along with an olive-oil based simple salad dressing. This always feels like the start to summer!

Fish Tacos

This is my all-time favorite food. I love to try Fish Tacos any time I go to a restaurant. These we made for the first time in 2020 and we'll be making them again in 2021! It feels pretty easy to adapt for the children just by simplifying what is inside of their tacos!

Poultry-Based Meals:

We don't eat a ton of meat at our house, but we do like to have the chance to eat some classic dishes. We're always searching for the perfect pairings for Fried Chicken. We usually do this in May or June of each year. It is often our Father's Day Meal, actually.

Nana's Southern Coleslaw (All Recipes) *I think we might try to make this earlier or add some seasoning. It didn't break down as much as I'd like for a coleslaw.

Mashed Potatoes: We make ours with a mixture of butter, sour cream, salt, pepper, and grated parmesean cheese!

Friday Night Pizza Twist!


This is our go-to recipe when we need a change. It is our Stromboli recipe. It is a rolled pizza dough and has been something I've made since college!

Happy Hour:

Peach Juleps

Peach Juleps by Martha Stewart are our favorite evening spring or summer beverage. This drink is why I plant mint every year! The recipe can be found online here. It was originally printed in the May 2008 Issue of Everyday Food Magazine and is on Page 64

That drink was advertised to be served with Cheddar Cheese Straws. We don't make these as often- more if we're hosting something. But we really like them too.


Creamy Orange Pops

This was originally printed in Martha Stewart's Everyday Food Magazine in the June 2012 issue and is found on page 44. We are really excited to try these Creamy Orange Pops!
